The mission of Workshop Books Inc. is to provide the most easy-to-use, step-by-step, student-centered, and hands-on training materials on the market.

| About Janet Caughlin |
A nationally known expert on Microsoft Office,digital photography and incorporating technology into the curriculum, Janet Caughlin is one of the most energetic and effective teacher trainers in the country. Janet is a classroom teacher through and through. From 1970-1999, she was a beloved K-12 media specialist in Valley, Nebraska (yes Janet, that's almost 30 years!). She was voted Teacher of the Year in 1996, three years before she decided to take advantage of Valley's early retirement option. Valley High School was awarded the distinguished Blue Ribbon by the US Department of Education for the second time. Janet is author of ten best-selling software tutorials for educators, all published by Tom Snyder Productions: PowerPoint Workshop for Teachers, Word Workshop for Teachers, Excel Workshop for Teachers, Access Workshop for Teachers, TimeLiner Workshop for Teachers, Handhelds for Teachers & Administrators Digital Photography Workshop for Teachers, AppleWorkshop for Teachers, AppleWorkshop for Students: Grades K-6,and AppleWorkshop for Students: Grades 7-12. Janet is also author of AppleWorkshop for the Home, co-author of ClarisWorks 3.0 for Teachers & ClarisWorks 3.0 in the Classroom and editor of Home Page Workshop for Educators. Due to the tremendous success of her books and trainings, Janet has recently turned to writing and training around the country full-time. She continues to teach teachers, however, at the graduate level at Peru State College and Wayne State College, where she has been an instructor since 1987. Janet's passions include her husband, two sons, Nebraska football (of course), and the Atlanta Braves, although Janet says the "truth is I'm so busy writing books and training that I don't have as much time as I would like with them!"
